Kalpavruksha
translates to Sacred Tree, or Rightful Tree, or Holistic Tree, or Divine Tree, that could help & save all life forms.

It is not a secret that trees are one of the fundamental part of the life chain on earth. But all trees are not equal. There are dominant & non-dominant species.

The dominant species do not let other life forms flourish and thus creates an environment that make up desert spaces, which would finally even take out their own species in the long run. On the contrary, there are other trees which are non-dominating or non-invasive species that enable co-existence of other forms by supporting directly or indirectly.

Just like any human society needs co-operative individuals to survive & thrive, trees should also support other life-forms, be it flora or fauna. These species of trees are the ones that qualify to be called as "KalpaVruksha".

In certain parts of the world where the land is in scarcity or under constant stress from natural calamities, people have learnt it over several generations and have adapted the right knowledge & skills to cope with it.

Below is an classic example, where late Dr. Akiro Miyawaki, now a world-renowned botanist, who understood the intricacies of these trees (flora) that withstood the test of the times since centuries of such natural threats to continue to survive and thrive. Because of this rich wealth of knowledge he was able to devise a method of afforestation that could help the world overcome the issues arising from the deforestation and its effect of the weather pattern which we called it a crisis as "climate change".

The method of afforestation developed by Dr. Akiro Miyawaki is known world-wide as Miyawaki Forest.
